Daylight savings time has ended (which, by the way has resulted in a gynormous shift in my daughter's sleep schedule...), heat's turned on and the Thanksgiving menu is being planned, all this means that winter is on it's way. And, it's time for a new winter coat!! This year's winter coat trends are fun and fabulous.
1) Color- We've seen color through out this past year so it's no surprise that we see it in coats. Take a colorful puffer jacket or vest and pair it with jeans and some fur boots for a casual winter look.

2) Capes- I've talked about how fabulous and versitile capes are. They can be dressed up and worn to work with a business suit or dressed down with fleece tights and boots.

3) Down Coat- Not only will these coats keep you warm, but they'll have you looking quite stylish as you make your snow angels. Faux fur trims, lighter weight, longer lengths and quilting details make these coats a must have.

4) Wool Coat- The wool coat is all jazzed up this winter. Funky details like asymetrical button closures, belts and empire waists, transform this classic coat to something brand new for 2011.

As you go out and buy a new coat, please consider donating your old one to someone in need. There are many different coat drives that happen around this time of year. Thanks for your consideration.
