It's taken a while, 95 years to be exact, but Keds Footwear has finally done it!!! They will launch their first clothing sportswear line on Black Friday (11/24) at Opening Ceremony. The iconic "Original Champion" shoe finally has some clothes to go with it. When I was a shoe buyer, and bought Keds sneakers, I would always say Keds was missing out on a huge market with clothing and, well, I guess the timing was just right for them. The line is a result of a licensing deal with LF USA and Keds.
Keds Sportswear
As per wwd.com, the initial collection is about 85 styles, available for the resort time period at Opening Ceremony stores in New York and Los Angeles. Styles will also be available at the Keds website. Items retail for $48 - $400.
