I led the fast paced life of working in NYC’s fashion industry. I worked for top retailers, such as Macy's, Gap and JCPenney. From Women’s Shoe Buyer to Brand Manager of Macy's Private Label Brand, Club Room, I did it all. Plus, I travelled extensively to places near and far and gained a better understanding of fabrics, design and manufacturing. Along with all my hands on experience, I also attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in NY.
Being in the industry, I’d constantly get questions from friends and family, for example, What’s in style? Would this outfit look good on me? How can I look good on a budget? Etc. Unfortunately, not being able to answer everyone’s questions and knowing how time consuming it can be to stay on top of trends, I started my blog, retail therapy couch. No need to stress anymore, grab a seat on the couch for a dose of retail therapy, and get happy, go shopping.
When I’m not shopping, reading fashion blogs, magazines and trend reports, helping friends decipher the trends and what to wear- I’m spending my time with my darling 3 year old daughter and wonderful husband.
